From Jere Hodges Jr: the Oakland Occupants' calls for violence documented from a local source: http://www.eastbayexpress.com/92510/archives/2011/11/01/anti-peace-brigade-flyers-being-distributed-at-occupy-oakland

Finally, someone stood up to Oakland Occupant mobs in defense of his property - with a shotgun! And in Oakland, it's significant he's a non-Caucasian man: Oakland developer Phil Tagami is used to working behind the scenes to broker some of the biggest deals in town. Late Wednesday, he was using different persuasive skills - holding a loaded shotgun to scare away rioters trying to get into a downtown building. - "We had people who attempted to break into our building," the landmark Rotunda Building on Frank Ogawa Plaza outside City Hall, Tagami said Thursday. He grabbed a shotgun that he usually keeps at home, went down to the ground floor and "discouraged them," he said. - "I was standing there and they saw me there, and I lifted it - I didn't point it - I just held it in my hands," Tagami said. "And I just racked it, and they ran." - Although they didn't get inside the building - Tagami, 46, oversaw its $50 million renovation and has an office there - vandals did scrawl graffiti on the outside walls during the post-midnight riot that broke out after Occupy Oakland's daylong general strike. - http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2011/11/03/BACM1LQ5FU.DTL#ixzz1ckUjTYy5

There is increasing concern that the authorities have made a rod for their own backs. “Are we seriously suggesting that if a jihadist or neo-Nazi group moved in, they would have been indulged like this?” asked a community-board member pointedly. “Or the Klan!” interjected another. Meanwhile, the chairman worried about the precedent: “If any other group moves in in the future, would we be able to evict them, given the example we have set?” His ashen expression answered his own question. - At the last meeting, as I reported, “some of the members of Community Board One took turns to make brief speeches. With the exception of one woman, who spoke movingly of the Zuccotti Park area having been ‘under siege’ for ten years, each endorsed the OWS movement.” This time, each took it in turns to express disappointment, concern, and even anger. The rebels have lost their enablers. - “It’s a crime scene down there, and it’s attracting all of the worst people in this city,” said a board member. “We’re hearing reports of rapes, assaults, violence, drug use. The mentally ill are assembling. It’s a public hazard.” There is also concern for businesses. “At this rate, they’re not going to make it through the Christmas season,” the chair of the Small Business Committee said, bluntly. He mentioned Mark Epstein, owner of the Milk Street Café, by name. “This is a new business and he’s not going to make it. It’s an outrage. After all of the economics problems with the loss of the World Trade Center, this is too much to take.” - http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/282179/tide-turning-ows-charles-c-w-cooke

Allegations of Sexual Harassment
Here is my take on it, as posted in a comment on a liberal friend's journal who acknowledged the harassment claims (and she made a comment about him lying about it or just not noticing that he got sued):

For the record, Herman Cain did NOT get sued so it wasn't an instance of not noticing he got sued. And just because these women made claims of sexual harassment does not mean that sexual harassment actually occurred. We all know that something as simple as opening a door for a woman can be offensive to those crazy feminist types--how do you know it wasn't something like that?

It even said in the Politco article that the gestures were “not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable.”

WTF does that even mean?? This story is absolutely ridiculous. The women have not been named, the claims have not been detailed, and the left-wing media is having a FIELD day with this whole thing. It's a NON-STORY and it's ridiculous that it's getting this much attention.

But you know why that is, right? Because he is the current conservative front-runner and he's gaining steam like nobody's business. And the liberal media can't let that happen, oh no!! So they're going apeshit crazy trying to find something, anything, to attempt to tear this guy down. It is absolutely DISGUSTING and it is an insult to the profession of Journalism.

And no, I don't think it will have a significant effect on Cain's campaign or supporters because WE are not blinded and we realize how utterly ridiculous this whole situation is.

What do you guys think? Has this swayed your support for Herman Cain?

Adam Baldwin/New CBS Poll
Adam Baldwin has officially (and by "officially" I mean "On Twitter," lol) endorsed Herman Cain for president! Adam Baldwin is one of my favorite actors, not only because he is a conservative but because he is HOT and a BADASS. So this is great news, because he also supports Herman Cain :-)

New CBS poll out yesterday--in case you haven't seen it, Herman Cain is gaining momentum and FAST. He's tied for the lead with Mitt Romney, with both at 17%. Looks like it's the establishment vs. the true conservative. Romney is remaining steady despite the fact that he IS establishment, and in my opinion a RINO, and his supporters are probably the same way. Hopefully he stays steady and Cain continues with his momentum and picks up the voters who are abandoning candidates like Bachmann and Perry (and hopefully a lot of the "Undecideds" who might have been holding out for Sarah Palin or someone else).

Looks like someone's gaining momentum!

Republican Presidential Candidate Herman Cain Wins TeaCon 2011 Straw Poll

Greeted like a rock star, newly crowned Republican presidential candidate frontrunner Herman Cain was the main attraction at the Midwest Tea Party Convention, TeaCon 2011 in Schaumburg, Illinois.

According to Cain, “This patriot movement is what's going to save this nation. No, not hope darling, we will save this nation… I kind of like clinging to my guns and Bibles and I'm not going to let them go.”

Granted, this could just be because he was the only presidential candidate to appear at TeaCon...however, it could also be very indicative of his popularity amongst Tea Partiers in general as opposed to the general Republican voters. We shall see...

I'm Voting For Herman Cain

For those of you who are familiar with Eric Odom (formerly of the Chicago Tea Party) this is a great article from him about why he finally made the decision today to put his support 100% behind Herman Cain:

I'm Voting For Herman Cain

My favorite part of the article:

Can Herman Cain win a general election? Of course he can. In fact, I think Herman Cain would be the BEST candidate against Barack Obama. Can you imagine Obama being forced to debate a smart businessman with no ties to lobbyists and special interests? I mean, we all know Mitt Romney will have a tough time. Newt Gingrich does have enough contrast on issues such as global warming, and Rick Perry would end up embarrassing himself half the time.

Herman Cain has smooth delivery, he’s funny, he’s got a good plan and he’s good people.

I would be honored and pleased to have him in the White House protecting my rights, my money and my shot at prosperity.

I’m on board the Cain Train. There’s plenty of room so feel free to join us!

Your question for anyone who calls the tea parties racist
Liberals Lie
Worth the watch.
The Democrat Big Lies that Obama is peddling Republican ideas or that the tea party is racist.

The ending is the best part.

Here's your question for anyone who calls the tea parties racist:

"Do you agree with everything Herman Cain says?"

When they so no they must be racist. Their rules. Make the lying bastards eat them.

Some good points to consider
Excerpt from this article: Can Cain?

Let’s remind ourselves, shall we? Remember that in September of 2007, Rudy Giuliani led the GOP pack, while Hillary Clinton was up front for the Democrats. In fact, in an October 3, 2007 poll, Clinton was at 47% to Obama’s 15%.

Mitt Romney is currently enjoying a slight surge, but only because the second tier political ammunition has been focused on Rick Perry. Once Perry irons out his message and the “front-runner” brand weakens, focus will be back on Romney’s moderate record and big government Republican reflection. When that happens, and when more GOP primary voters start tuning in, there will be an opening for a candidate with momentum, a solid message, a non-politician brand and strong tea party support.

Michele Bachmann might have peaked too early. The quarterly reports will soon come out and we’ll see where Bachmann stands financially, but my guess is she’s going to be out of fuel and pushing the car. Herman Cain on the other hand has run a much more frugal campaign and may be able to last long enough to let the establishment fight run its course.

I am very interested to see how this all is going to play out, but I haven't given up on Cain yet. I'm definitely of the mindset that it's way too early to call the primary winner just yet (obviously) but I could definitely see Cain emerging strongly in the next couple months coming up.

Liberals Lie
Potentially huge!

Cain upsets Perry in Florida Republican straw poll

"Instead, former Godfather's Pizza executive Cain, who is far behind the two top-tier candidates Perry and Mitt Romney, won with 37 percent of 2,657 votes cast.

Perry was a distant second at 15 percent, just ahead of Romney, who won 14 percent despite not participating in the poll."

That's a spanking! How did he manage that when he doesn't have a heart, Perry boy? :)

Mock Cain’s speaking voice and intelligence and…?"
Jon Stewart Mocks Hermain Cain: ‘I Do Not Like to Read’

Not only is the joke not funny, true to Stewart's "comedy", it's not accurate. Hey, Jon. Rep. John Conyers Jr., a black man, mocked critics who expected him to read bills saying, 'I love these members, they get up and say, 'Read the bill.''" Where's the joke about how Conyers doesn't like to read, Jon? Or maybe some context? Oh, but it's okay to say Cain doesn't like to read. After all, he's not the right kind of black man to Democrats.
